Docs
I started my career in documentary films, working my way up in post-production departments for acclaimed filmmaker Errol Morris. I learned the editing process working on Morris’ Oscar-winning documentary, The Fog of War, and the Emmy-winning TV series NOVA – check me out on IMDB. Eventually, I edited the feature-length indie doc AKA Blondie, which won the Audience Award at the Atlanta Film Festival in 2012.
My experience as an editor helps me communicate creative ideas and provide effective feedback with crew while directing and producing, saving time and enhancing the quality of the final product. My time working on documentaries taught me invaluable lessons about the art of storytelling and story structure, skills essential to my work. The doc work also impressed my wife, a huge Errol Morris fan, when we first met.
